Connecting People to the Resources That Change Lives
Hues Hope is a Minneapolis-based information hub dedicated to helping individuals and families experiencing hardship find the services, programs, and support they need to rebuild stability — one resource at a time.
We Don’t Provide Services — We Help You Find Them
Hues Hope is not a shelter, clinic, or financial institution. We are an information and navigation resource — a carefully curated hub that maps the full landscape of support available to people experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or other forms of hardship in the Twin Cities.
We believe that access to clear, trustworthy information is itself a form of support. When someone knows where to turn, they can take action. Our job is to make that first step as simple as possible.
“The biggest barrier between a person in crisis and the help they need is often not eligibility — it’s awareness. People don’t know what exists. We exist to change that.”
— Hues HopeWhat we do

The Problem We’re Solving
Minnesota has hundreds of organizations doing incredible work — providing food, shelter, legal help, healthcare, and more. But for someone in crisis, navigating this landscape is overwhelming. Programs have eligibility requirements, waitlists, documentation barriers, and specialized intake processes. Without a guide, people fall through the cracks.
Hard to Find
Resources are scattered across dozens of county websites, nonprofit portals, and 211 databases. Most people don’t know where to start.
Hard to Understand
Program descriptions are often written in bureaucratic language. Hues Hope translates complex eligibility rules into plain, actionable steps.
Time-Sensitive
People in crisis don’t have time to research. We do the research ahead of time so you can act immediately when it matters most.
Dignity-Centered
We present every service area with the respect and seriousness it deserves — because the people who need these resources deserve nothing less.
How We Curate & Present Resources
Every page on this site is built with the same rigor. Here is how we approach our work.
-
1
Research local organizations
We identify trusted providers across Hennepin County and the greater Twin Cities — vetted through county databases, 211, and community partners.
-
2
Verify contact information
Every phone number, URL, and address is verified. We prioritize direct contacts over general websites whenever possible.
-
3
Write in plain language
We explain eligibility requirements, application processes, and what to expect in clear, jargon-free language that anyone can understand.
-
4
Provide step-by-step guidance
Each service area includes a clear path from first contact to connected support — so no one has to figure it out alone.
-
5
Keep it current
Programs change, numbers change, funding ends. We review and update our pages regularly to ensure the information you find here is accurate.
Our Principles
- Free to access — no paywalls, no ads, no upsells
- Non-partisan and non-judgmental
- Focused on practical, actionable information
- Respectful of people’s dignity and autonomy
- Transparent about what we are and are not
- Rooted in the Minneapolis community
